Good afternoon all

 

Just a quick update to you all regarding the progress of coring.

 

While it was our hope that we would have the course open tomorrow, sadly that is not the case. The Driving Range will be open tomorrow (Monday) from 9:30am BUT the course will remain CLOSED UNTIL TUESDAY. 

 

This is the explaination that Clint has given us, and I thought it beneficial to pass on to our members. 

Because the sand was so wet, they had to pull deeper cores out - which meant they required more sand to fill in the holes. As it was the weekend, the extra sand will arrive tomorrow (Monday) and they will continue with another layer of sanding. It will be very beneficial in the long run as the deeper channels of sand will hopefully allow for drier greens in the winter. 

 

We apologise for the day delay but thank you for your patience and understanding. There have been many circumstances out of our control but our greenkeepers have been working very hard over the past few days to get the greens up to a great condition that you have all come to love and enjpoy playing on.
